![]() ![]() I had a similar issue with Windows 7 to Windows 10, Version 1803/1903 where 'XPS Document Writer' was causing a hard block to the upgrade on some devices. If I did use a TS I would add a step to uninstall those two devices using pnputil or something like that.Īdam Gross has a post about using Setupconfig.ini to control certain options when using feature updates so I may try and see if that will resolve the issue. ![]() I'm using the feature update (SUG) rather than an In-Place upgrade (Task Sequence) and I don't really want to switch. Is there a way that the Windows update process will ignore, uninstall or update these drivers? Perhaps if Dynamic updates is enabled (currently access to Windows Updates online is blocked at endpoint level on the network)? #MICROSOFT DOCUMENT WRITER TO PDF PDF#These drivers point to the Microsoft Print to PDF and Microsoft XPS Document Writer printers. The C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Panther\CompatData files show a couple of oem.inf files are blocking the upgrade. I've been updating 16 Windows 10 versions to 1809 without issues but when i try to update 1709 to 1809 it fails. ![]()
